PDK HaggleMule

At time of posting, I think an Iconic PDK with 1 level of Fighter, 3 levels of Bard, and the rest Rogue would get you the most Haggle without having to enter any quests.

Each of the trees from PDK, Fighter Stalwart, Rogue T/A, and Bard SpellSinger give +3 haggle for a total of +12.
Skill Focus Haggle Feat is +3 Haggle
Negotiator Feat is +2 Haggle
Bardic Inspiration Song is +4 Haggle (and all other skills)
Rogue Special Feat level 10 (character level 14) Skill Mastery is +1 Haggle
Bard spell Focusing Chant Spell is +1 Haggle
Mechanic Skill Boost is +6 Haggle

If there's another combination that gives more Haggle at level 15, correct me!

A few (SEVEN!) years ago I posted the Lazy Haggle Mule, but some things have changed, and I'm pretty sure this is currently best at 15 without any questing.


I built this to validate that it works as it should.
Standing Haggle is 43 without any gear or ship buffs
Focusing Chant (1min) + Inspire Competence (10min)+ Skill Boost (20sec) gets Haggle to 55 without any gear or ship buffs

Auction House Gear
+6 CHA is reasonable for level 15
+15 Haggle Skill (Bartered) is reasonable for level 15
+4 Celebrated (+4 Insight bonus to CHA skills) is reasonable for level 15
That's another easy +22 Haggle through purchased gear, bringing you to 77


77 Haggle is trivial to achieve if you don't mind burning a character slot.

You could further improve this with
+1 Luck augment (ML:12 from Gianthold vendor)
+4 Greater Heroism Scroll (if you pushed UMD)
+2 Airship Throneroom (scales - +3 at level 21)

That would get you to 84 Haggle.


Beyond that, you could craft (or have crafted)
+16 Haggle (+1 more than lootgen)
+8 Insightful Haggle
+8 CHA (+2 more than easy Lootgen)
+3 Insightful CHA

That's 95 Haggle from unbound gear, ship buffs, and self buffs without ever stepping into a quest on a 32point level 15 Iconic with no tomes or raid loot or quest completions.


+Stat and +Skill tomes could get you to 100 if you wanted


The important feats are Skill Focus Haggle, Negotiator, and Rogue Bonus "Skill Mastery". There are no other feats that benefit Haggle, so take whatever you want - Toughness? Skill Focus Repair? Sure! That's fine!

Fighter at 1 from PDK, three levels of Bard to unlock necessaries, then the rest Rogue.

Enough STR was allocated so that you should be able to fill the walking around inventory without becoming so encumbered that you cannot move, but if you intended to "play" this character, then moving points into INT so there's enough to get Search/Spot/DD/OL running would be a good idea.

If you did limp it to higher levels, you'd be able to hit the Haggle cap pretty easily and long before you got to level 30.
